We acknowledge that our service area businesses, public, clients and volunteers have shown us much love and support since the very beginning. You have supported us by donating fresh garden produce, pantry items, grocery pick-ups, hamper preparation, attending events, etc, etc.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support you show us. It fills us with such joy to be able to provide such a valuable service to our service area communities.
Volunteer With Us
Our Food Bank is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment that assists volunteers in reaching their full potential and actively participating in the Food Bank by welcoming, respecting, and valuing their diversity.
Volunteers can help at the Food Bank when they have time. We don't create the volunteer schedule, the volunteers create it. We are open Mon, Wed, Fri from 9am - 2pm, however, you create your own schedule based on this even if it's only for an hour.
Other opportunities include attending community events to promote the Food Bank at our table. We try to attend as many as we can throughout the year so there are multiple opportunities for volunteers to attend.
Fundraising & Donations
Over the years, various organizations, churches and businesses have held fundraisers with the Food Bank being a benefactor. Between 2016 - 2024, an estimated $91,000 from these fundraisers has been donated to the Food Bank to purchase much needed provisions for hampers.
Between 2016 - 2024, an estimated $ 470,000 from individuals, non-profits and corporations has been donated to the Food Bank to purchase much needed provisions for hampers.
Between 2016 - 2024, an estimated 138,000lbs of food has been donated to the Food Bank.

We issue official receipts for income tax purposes for donations over $10. If you would like a receipt, you must request one in the message of your e-transfer along with your full name and mailing address. A receipt will be mailed to you.
